Dr. Loren Tarr

Dr. Loren Tarr brings more than two decades of clinical excellence and compassionate care to Laguna Family Dentistry. With a warm, patient-centered approach and a dedication to high-quality outcomes, Dr. Tarr is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients of all ages feel confident and cared for.

Dr. Tarr earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2000, where he also completed a prestigious fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry. Early in his career, he served at the King County Health Department in Seattle, WA, providing care to underserved children and expectant mothers—an experience that shaped his lifelong dedication to accessible and empathetic dental care.

In 2003, Dr. Tarr founded his own practice in Seattle. Over the next 20 years, he built it into a thriving dental office known for its comprehensive care and strong patient relationships. Whether treating children or adults, he performed a full range of dental services with an emphasis on preventive care, education, and gentle treatment.

After relocating to California in 2024, Dr. Tarr has continued serving patients as a general dentist. His clinical expertise is complemented by a genuine passion for connecting with patients and helping them achieve their healthiest smiles.

Beyond the operatory, Dr. Tarr holds a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Amherst College—bringing a unique artistic and thoughtful perspective to his approach to dentistry. When he’s not helping patients achieve the smiles of their dreams, he enjoys sculpting, exploring Southern California’s coastal beauty, and spending time with his family.
