Selina Sarno, DDS

Dr. Sarno realized as early as high school that a combination of her artistic talents, excellence in the sciences and medicine, and commitment to helping others would serve as a strong foundation for a career in dentistry. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA with a full scholarship and earned her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. As a student, she spent countless hours volunteering at dental clinics in low-income communities, conducting research on oral cancer, and working as a dental assistant.

A Bruin at heart, Dr. Sarno went on to earn her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the UCLA School of Dentistry. She graduated with highest distinction among her classmates in Esthetic Dentistry and received the Robert P. Wolcott award for excellence in Restorative Dentistry. Committed to continuous self-improvement and a strong advocate for furthering education, Dr. Sarno’s dedication led her to complete post-doctoral training in Advanced General Dentistry at the UCLA Venice Dental Center. This program focuses on cosmetics, implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, and the latest advances in dental technology. She also served as an instructor, guiding dental students as they treat patients on the clinic floor.

After 10 years of education at UCLA, she was excited to move to South Orange County to be closer to her family and friends. Dr. Sarno is an avid digital and film photographer and enjoys taking photos of her travels and documenting them on websites that she designs herself.  A nerd at heart, she also enjoys playing video and board games, and balances these activities by staying active through running marathons, hiking, rock climbing, and yoga.

Dr. Sarno is a member of the Orange County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and is working towards attaining membership with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Devoted to continuing education, she also completes 100+ CEs a year.
